You said, ‘I’m so miserable! The Lord has added grief to my pain. I’m worn out from groaning. I can’t find any rest.’

We can’t allow ourselves to get tired of living the right way. Certainly, each of us will receive ⌞everlasting life⌟ at the proper time, if we don’t give up.

That is why we are not discouraged. Though outwardly we are wearing out, inwardly we are renewed day by day.

We don’t become discouraged, since God has given us this ministry through his mercy.

Brothers and sisters, we can’t allow ourselves to get tired of doing what is right.

Even if he makes us suffer, he will have compassion in keeping with the richness of his mercy.

Recall all of their wickedness. Then deal with them as you have dealt with me because of all my rebellious acts. I groan so much and feel so sick at heart.”

He sent fire from above. He made it go deep into my bones. He spread a net for my feet. He made me turn back. He has left me devastated. He has made me sick all day long.

“I wish that my head were ⌞filled with⌟ water and my eyes were a fountain of tears so that I could cry day and night for my dear people who have been killed.

Sorrow has overwhelmed me. I am sick at heart!

If you faint in a crisis, you are weak.

How horrible it is to live as a foreigner in Meshech or to stay in the tents of Kedar.

I am exhausted from crying for help. My throat is hoarse. My eyes are strained ⌞from⌟ looking for my God.

One deep sea calls to another at the roar of your waterspouts. All the whitecaps on your waves have swept over me.

I believe that I will see the goodness of the Lord in this world of the living.

I am worn out from my groaning. My eyes flood my bed every night. I soak my couch with tears.

“My complaint is bitter again today. I try hard to control my sighing.

“This is what the Lord God of Israel says to you, Baruch:

My eyes blur from grief. They fail because of my enemies.
