Jeremiah 43:1

So Jeremiah finished telling all the people the message from the Lord their God. He told them everything the Lord their God sent him to tell them.

But as soon as Jeremiah finished saying everything that the Lord had commanded him to say, the priests, the prophets, and all the people grabbed him and said, “You must die!

But now, you need to know that you will die in wars, famines, or plagues in the place where you want to go and live.”

The angel told them, “Stand in the temple courtyard, and tell the people everything about life ⌞in Christ⌟.”

Brace yourself, Jeremiah! Stand up, and say to them whatever I tell you to say. Don’t be terrified in their presence, or I will make you ⌞even more⌟ terrified in their presence.

But the Lord said to me, “Don’t say that you are only a boy. You will go wherever I send you. You will say whatever I command you to say.

So Lot went out and spoke to the men engaged to his daughters. He said, “Hurry! Get out of this place, because the Lord is going to destroy the city.” But they thought he was joking.

They lie about the Lord and say, “He doesn’t exist! Nothing bad will happen to us. We won’t experience war or famine.

I have told you today, but you won’t obey anything the Lord your God sent me to tell you.
