Jeremiah 36:32

Then Jeremiah took another scroll and gave it to the scribe Baruch, son of Neriah. As Jeremiah dictated, Baruch wrote on it everything that was on the scroll that King Jehoiakim of Judah had burned. They added many similar messages.

The Lord said to Moses, “Cut two ⌞more⌟ stone tablets like the first ones, and I will write on them the words that were on the first tablets which you smashed.

Baruch answered, “He dictated everything to me, and I wrote it on the scroll in ink.”

As Jehudi read three or four columns, the king would cut them off with a scribe’s knife and throw them into the fire in the fireplace. He did this until the whole scroll was burned up.

In Belshazzar’s first year as king of Babylon, Daniel had a dream. He saw a vision while he was asleep. He wrote down the main parts of the dream.

“If you still will not listen to me, I will discipline you seven times for your sins.

“If you resist and don’t listen to me, I will increase the punishment for your sins seven times.

then I, too, will resist you. I will punish you seven times for your sins.

I will fiercely resist you. I will discipline you seven times for your sins.

I, Tertius, who wrote this letter, send you Christian greetings.

I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy in this book: If anyone adds anything to this, God will strike him with the plagues that are written in this book.
