When they heard everything, they turned to each other in terror. They said to Baruch, “We must tell the king everything.”
When the king heard what the book of the Teachings said, he tore his clothes ⌞in distress⌟.
Say to the king and his mother, “Come down from your thrones, because your crowns have fallen off your heads.”
“⌞Say this⌟ about the prophets: I am deeply disturbed. All my bones tremble. I am like a drunk, like a person who has had too much wine, because of the Lord and his holy words.
The king and all his attendants didn’t show any fear or tear their clothes in fear when they heard everything being read.
