He gave plenty to drink to those who were thirsty. He filled those who were hungry with good food.

He renews my soul. He guides me along the paths of righteousness for the sake of his name.

Then each ruler will be like a shelter from the wind and a hiding place from the rain. They will be like streams on parched ground and the shade of a large rock in a weary land.

He gives strength to those who grow tired and increases the strength of those who are weak.

“The poor and needy are looking for water, but there is none. Their tongues are parched with thirst. I, the Lord, will answer them. I, the God of Israel, will not abandon them.

The Almighty Lord will teach me what to say, so I will know how to encourage weary people. Morning after morning he will wake me to listen like a student.

They will come and shout for joy on top of Mount Zion. They will stream to it to enjoy the Lord’s blessings: fresh grain, new wine, and olive oil, lambs and calves. Their lives will be like well-watered gardens, and they will never suffer again.

I will satisfy the priests with rich food. My people will be filled with my blessings,” declares the Lord.

I will feed them in good pasture, and they will graze on the mountains of Israel. They will rest on the good land where they graze, and they will feed on the best pastures in the mountains of Israel.

“Come to me, all who are tired from carrying heavy loads, and I will give you rest.

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for God’s approval. They will be satisfied.

He fed hungry people with good food. He sent rich people away with nothing.

But those who drink the water that I will give them will never become thirsty again. In fact, the water I will give them will become in them a spring that gushes up to eternal life.”

Yet God, who comforts those who are dejected, comforted us when Titus arrived.
