They brought Uriah from Egypt and took him to King Jehoiakim. The king executed Uriah and threw his body into the burial ground for the common people.

Jehoiakim did what the Lord considered evil, as his ancestors had done.

“I have punished your children without results. They didn’t respond to correction. You killed my prophets like a raging lion.

“But your eyes and your mind are set on nothing but dishonest profits. You kill innocent people and violently oppress your people.”

He will receive a donkey’s burial. He will be dragged off and thrown outside the gates of Jerusalem.

But know for certain that if you put me to death, you, this city, and the people living in it will be guilty of killing an innocent person. The Lord has certainly sent me to speak all these things to you.”

who killed the Lord Jesus and the prophets and who have persecuted us severely. They are displeasing to God. They are enemies of the whole human race

Some were stoned to death, sawed in half, and killed with swords. Some wore the skins of sheep and goats. Some were poor, abused, and mistreated.

When the witnesses finish their testimony, the beast which comes from the bottomless pit will fight them, conquer them, and kill them.
