Jeremiah 25:30

“That is why you will prophesy all these things to them and say, ‘The Lord roars from above. He thunders from his holy dwelling place. He roars against his land. He shouts like those who stomp grapes. He shouts against all those who live on earth.

The king told Zadok, “Take God’s ark back to the city. If the Lord looks favorably on me, he will allow me to come back and see both it and its  dwelling place again.

The Lord said to him, “I have heard your prayer for mercy that you made to me. I have declared that this temple which you have built is holy so that my name may be placed there forever. My eyes and my heart will always be there.

Then the Levitical priests blessed the people. Their voices were heard, and their prayers went to God’s holy place in heaven.

The Lord is in his holy temple. The Lord’s throne is in heaven. His eyes see. They examine Adam’s descendants.

“This will be my resting place forever. Here I will sit enthroned because I want Zion.

Nations are in turmoil, and kingdoms topple. The earth melts at the sound of ⌞God’s⌟ voice.

so that it cannot hear the voice of a snake charmer or of anyone trained to cast spells.

Then the Lord woke up like one who had been sleeping, like a warrior sobering up from ⌞too much⌟ wine.

I will cry for the grapevines of Sibmah as Jazer cries for them. I will drench you with my tears, Heshbon and Elealeh. The shouts of joy for your ripened fruits and your harvest will be silenced.

People flee from the noise of ⌞your⌟ army. Nations scatter when you attack.

The Lord marches out like a warrior. He prepares himself for battle like a soldier. He shouts, gives the battle cry, and overpowers his enemies.

Our holy place is a glorious throne, highly honored from the beginning.

He has left his lair like a lion. Their land has been ruined because of the heat of the oppressor, because of the fury of his anger.

Joy and gladness have disappeared from the orchards and fields of Moab. I will stop the wine flowing from the winepresses. No one will stomp on grapes with shouts of joy. There will be shouts, but not shouts of joy.

“My people will follow me when I roar like a lion. When I roar, my children will come trembling from the west.

I will be like a lion to Ephraim and like a young lion to the nation of Judah. I will carry ⌞them⌟ off, and no one will rescue ⌞them⌟.

The Lord will roar from Zion, and his voice will thunder from Jerusalem. The sky and the earth will shake. The Lord will be a refuge for his people. He will be a stronghold for the people of Israel.

He said: The Lord roars from Zion, and his voice thunders from Jerusalem. The pastures of the shepherds are turning brown, and the top of ⌞Mount⌟ Carmel is dried up.

The lion has roared. Who isn’t afraid? The Almighty Lord has spoken. Who can keep from prophesying?

“Everyone be silent in the presence of the Lord. He is waking up and setting out from his holy dwelling place.”

Look down from your holy place in heaven. Bless your people Israel and the land flowing with milk and honey that you have given us, as you promised with an oath to our ancestors.”

A sharp sword comes out of his mouth to defeat the nations. He will rule them with an iron scepter and tread the winepress of the fierce anger of God Almighty.
