When you ask for something, don’t have any doubts. A person who has doubts is like a wave that is blown by the wind and tossed by the sea.

You will no longer be first because you were out of control like a flood and you climbed into your father’s bed. Then you dishonored it. He climbed up on my couch.

Then we will no longer be little children, tossed and carried about by all kinds of teachings that change like the wind. We will no longer be influenced by people who use cunning and clever strategies to lead us astray.

I want men to offer prayers everywhere. They should raise their hands in prayer after putting aside their anger and any quarrels they have with anyone.

We must continue to hold firmly to our declaration of faith. The one who made the promise is faithful.

No one can please God without faith. Whoever goes to God must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who seek him.

Don’t get carried away by all kinds of unfamiliar teachings. Gaining inner strength from God’s kindness  is good for us. This strength does not come from following rules about food, rules that don’t help those who follow them.

A person who has doubts shouldn’t expect to receive anything from the Lord.

(Prayers offered in faith will save those who are sick, and the Lord will cure them.) If you have sinned, you will be forgiven.

These false teachers are dried-up springs. They are a mist blown around by a storm. Gloomy darkness has been kept for them.
