God's Word

This is what the Almighty Lord says: In the beginning my people went to Egypt to live there as foreigners. Later the Assyrians oppressed them for no reason.

They also took their livestock and the possessions they had accumulated in Canaan. Jacob and all his family arrived in Egypt.

In this way what is written in their Scriptures has come true: ‘They hate me for no reason.’
