The Almighty Lord helps me. That is why I will not be ashamed. I have set my face like a flint. I know that I will not be put to shame.

The Lord said to my Lord, “Take the honored position—the one next to me [God the Father] on the heavenly throne until I put your enemies under your control.”

I will make a sacrifice to you along with a freewill offering. I will give thanks to your good name, O Lord.

This is what the Lord, who saved Abraham, says about the descendants of Jacob: Jacob will no longer be ashamed. Jacob’s face will no longer turn pale.

Here is my servant, whom I support. Here is my chosen one, with whom I am pleased. I have put my Spirit on him. He will bring justice to the nations.

Israel has been saved by the Lord forever. You will never again be ashamed or disgraced.

Then kings will be your foster fathers, and their queens will nurse you. They will bow in front of you with their faces touching the ground. They will lick the dust at your feet. Then you will know that I am the Lord. Those who wait with hope for me will not be put to shame.

This is what the Lord says: In the time of favor I will answer you. In the day of salvation I will help you. I will protect you. I will appoint you as my promise  to the people. You will restore the land. You will make them inherit the desolate inheritance.

The Almighty Lord helps me. Who will find me guilty? They will all wear out like a garment. Moths will eat them.

Don’t be afraid, because you won’t be put to shame. Don’t be discouraged, because you won’t be disgraced. You’ll forget the shame you’ve had since you were young. You won’t remember the disgrace of your husband’s death anymore.

Today I have made you like a fortified city, an iron pillar, and a bronze wall. You will be able to stand up to the whole land. You will be able to stand up to Judah’s kings, its officials, its priests, and ⌞all⌟ the common people.

Listen, all you people! Pay attention, earth and all who are on it. The Almighty Lord will be a witness against you. The Lord will be a witness from his holy temple.

The time was coming closer for Jesus to be taken to heaven. So he was determined to go to Jerusalem.

I’ve told you this so that my peace will be with you. In the world you’ll have trouble. But cheer up! I have overcome the world.”

I’m not ashamed of the Good News. It is God’s power to save everyone who believes, Jews first and Greeks as well.

So we can confidently say, “The Lord is my helper. I will not be afraid. What can mortals do to me?”

Since Christ has suffered physically, take the same attitude that he had. (A person who has suffered physically no longer sins.)

If you suffer for being a Christian, don’t feel ashamed, but praise God for being called that name.
