Isaiah 25:1

God's Word

O Lord, you are my God. I will highly honor you; I will praise your name. You have done miraculous things. You have been completely reliable in carrying out your plans from long ago.

He has made his miracles unforgettable. The Lord is merciful and compassionate.

You are my God, and I give thanks to you. My God, I honor you highly.

I will highly praise you, my God, the king. I will bless your name forever and ever.

I want to praise the Lord throughout my life. I want to make music to praise my God as long as I live.

My future is in your hands. Rescue me from my enemies, from those who persecute me.

You have done many miraculous things, O Lord my God. You have made many wonderful plans for us. No one compares to you! I will tell others about your miracles, which are more than I can count.

You were not pleased with sacrifices and offerings. You have dug out two ears for me. You did not ask for burnt offerings or sacrifices for sin.

Let go ⌞of your concerns⌟! Then you will know that I am God. I rule the nations. I rule the earth.

When I choose the right time, I will judge fairly.

We will not hide them from our children. We will tell the next generation about the Lord’s power and great deeds and the miraculous things he has done.

I will sing forever about the evidence of your mercy, O Lord. I will tell about your faithfulness to every generation.

Sing a new song to the Lord because he has done miraculous things. His right hand and his holy arm have gained victory for him.

Highly honor the Lord our God. Bow down at his footstool. He is holy!

The Lord is my strength and my song. He is my Savior. This is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will honor him.

Justice will be the belt around his waist. Faithfulness will be the belt around his hips.

At that time you will say, “I will praise you, O Lord. Although you had been angry with me, you turned your anger away from me, and you comforted me.

O Lord, our God, you are not the only master to rule us, but we acknowledge only you.

Certainly, we wait with hope for you, O Lord, ⌞as we follow⌟ the path of your guiding principles. We want to remember you and your name.

All of this has come from the Lord of Armies. His counsel is wonderful, and his wisdom is great.

Jacob, why do you complain? Israel, why do you say, “My way is hidden from the Lord, and my rights are ignored by my God”?

From the beginning I revealed the end. From long ago I told you things that had not yet happened, saying, “My plan will stand, and I’ll do everything I intended to do.”

I will call a bird of prey from the east. I will call someone for my plan from a faraway land. I have spoken, and I will bring it about. I have planned it, and I will do it.

But I said, “I have worked hard for nothing. I have used my strength, but I didn’t accomplish anything. Yet, certainly my case is in the Lord’s hands, and my reward is with my God.”

The Lord formed me in the womb to be his servant in order to bring Jacob back to him and gather Israel to him. (The Lord honors me, and my God has become my strength.)

I will find joy in the Lord. I will delight in my God. He has dressed me in the clothes of salvation. He has wrapped me in the robe of righteousness like a bridegroom with a priest’s turban, like a bride with her jewels.

“Listen now, descendants of David,” Isaiah said. “Isn’t it enough that you try the patience of mortals? Must you also try the patience of my God?

You will have plenty to eat, and you will be full. You will praise the name of the Lord your God, who has performed miracles for you. My people will never be ashamed again.

God is not like people. He tells no lies. He is not like humans. He doesn’t change his mind. When he says something, he does it. When he makes a promise, he keeps it.

God also decided ahead of time to choose us through Christ according to his plan, which makes everything work the way he intends.

and singing the song of God’s servant Moses and the song of the lamb. They sang, “The things you do are spectacular and amazing, Lord God Almighty. The way you do them is fair and true, King of the Nations.

I saw heaven standing open. There was a white horse, and its rider is named Faithful and True. With integrity he judges and wages war.

and said, “Amen! Praise, glory, wisdom, thanks, honor, power, and strength be to our God forever and ever! Amen!”
