The Lord is in his holy temple. The Lord’s throne is in heaven. His eyes see. They examine Adam’s descendants.

Our God is in heaven. He does whatever he wants.

Let go ⌞of your concerns⌟! Then you will know that I am God. I rule the nations. I rule the earth.

“Be silent and listen to me, you coastlands. Let the people gain new strength. Let them come near and speak. Let us come together for judgment.

In the year King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a high and lofty throne. The bottom of his robe filled the temple.

This is what the Lord says: Heaven is my throne. The earth is my footstool. Where can you build a house or resting place for me?

Listen to the uproar from the city. Listen to the sound from the temple. It is the sound of the Lord paying back his enemies as they deserve.

“Then I thought, ‘I have been banished from your sight. Will I ever see your holy temple again?’

“As my life was slipping away, I remembered the Lord. My prayer came to you in your holy temple.

Listen, all you people! Pay attention, earth and all who are on it. The Almighty Lord will be a witness against you. The Lord will be a witness from his holy temple.

Be silent in the presence of the Almighty Lord, because the day of the Lord is near. The Lord has prepared a sacrifice. He has invited his special guests.

“Everyone be silent in the presence of the Lord. He is waking up and setting out from his holy dwelling place.”
