Now, write this on a tablet for them, and inscribe it in a book so that it will be there in the future as a permanent witness.

The Lord said to me, “Take a large writing tablet, and write on it with a pen: ‘Maher Shalal Hash Baz’ [The Looting Will Come Quickly; the Prey Will Be Easy].

“This is what the Lord God of Israel says: Write in a book everything that I tell you.

“But you, Daniel, keep these words secret, and seal the book until the end times. Many will travel everywhere, and knowledge will grow.”

In Belshazzar’s first year as king of Babylon, Daniel had a dream. He saw a vision while he was asleep. He wrote down the main parts of the dream.

Everything written long ago was written to teach us so that we would have confidence through the endurance and encouragement which the Scriptures give us.

Yet, in order to teach others in church, I would rather say five words that can be understood than ten thousand words in another language.

Since we have confidence ⌞in the new promise⌟, we speak very boldly.

Write clearly and carefully all the words of these teachings on the stones you set up.”

“Write down this song, teach it to the Israelites, and have them sing it. This song will be a witness for me against the Israelites.

That day Moses wrote down this song and taught it to the Israelites.

Then the angel said to me, “Write this: ‘Blessed are those who are invited to the lamb’s wedding banquet.’ ” He also told me, “These are God’s true words.”
