Genesis 49:26

God's Word

The blessings of your father are greater than the blessings of the oldest mountains and the riches of the ancient hills. May these blessings rest on the head of Joseph, on the crown of the prince among his brothers.

As the Midianite merchants were passing by, the brothers pulled Joseph out of the cistern. They sold him to the Ishmaelites for eight ounces of silver. The Ishmaelites took him to Egypt.

Then his brothers asked him, “Are you going to be our king or rule us?” They hated him even more for his dreams and his words.

“Benjamin is a ravenous wolf. In the morning he devours his prey. In the evening he divides the plunder.”

I will clothe his enemies with shame, but the crown on my anointed one will shine.”

His dynasty will last forever. His throne will be in my presence like the sun.

The mountains may move, and the hills may shake, but my kindness will never depart from you. My promise  of peace will never change,” says the Lord, who has compassion on you.

Listen to the Lord’s word, all who tremble at his word. Your relatives, who hate you and exclude you for my name’s sake, say, “Let the Lord show his glory; then we will see your joy.” But they will be put to shame.

I sank to the foot of the mountains. I sank to the bottom, where bars held me forever. But you brought me back from the pit, O Lord, my God.

He stands and shakes the earth. He casts a glance and startles the nations. The oldest mountains break apart. The ancient hills sink. The ancient paths belong to him.

“Speak to the Israelites and tell them: A man or a woman may make a special vow to live as a Nazirite dedicated to the Lord.

“Jacob’s sons were jealous of their brother Joseph. They sold him into slavery, and he was taken to Egypt. But God was with Joseph

Praise the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! Through Christ, God has blessed us with every spiritual blessing that heaven has to offer.
