Israel’s eyesight was failing because of old age, and he could hardly see. So Joseph brought his sons close to his father, and Israel hugged them and kissed them.

When Isaac was old and going blind, he called his older son Esau and said to him, “Son!” Esau answered, “Here I am.”

He went over and gave him a kiss. When Isaac smelled his clothes, he blessed him and said, “The smell of my son is like the smell of open country that the Lord has blessed.

The Lord is not too weak to save or his ear too deaf to hear.

Make these people close-minded. Plug their ears. Shut their eyes. Otherwise, they may see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their minds, and return and be healed.”

Moses was 120 years old when he died. His eyesight never became poor, and he never lost his physical strength.

One night Eli was lying down in his room. His eyesight had begun to fail so that he couldn’t see well.

(Eli was 98 years old, and his eyesight had failed so that he couldn’t see.)
