Joseph was 30 years old when he entered the service of Pharaoh (the king of Egypt). He left Pharaoh and traveled all around Egypt.

This is the account of Jacob and his descendants. Joseph was a seventeen-year-old young man. He took care of the flocks with the sons of Bilhah and Zilpah, his father’s wives. Joseph told his father about the bad things his brothers were doing.

During the seven good years the land produced large harvests.

Even though Joseph recognized his brothers, they didn’t recognize him.

The famine has been in the land for two years. There will be five more years without plowing or harvesting.

David was 30 years old when he became king, and he ruled for 40 years.

King Rehoboam sought advice from the older leaders who had served his father Solomon while he was still alive. He asked, “What do you advise? How should I respond to these people?”

But he ignored the advice the older leaders gave him. He sought advice from the young men who had grown up with him and were serving him.

Do you see a person who is efficient in his work? He will serve kings. He will not serve unknown people.

The king talked to them and found no one like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah among all of them. So these four men served the king.

They were to be young men who were healthy, good-looking, knowledgeable in all subjects, well-informed, intelligent, and able to serve in the king’s palace. They were to be taught the language and literature of the Babylonians.

Register all the men between the ages of 30 and 50 who are qualified to work at the tent of meeting.

Be alert at all times. Pray so that you have the power to escape everything that is about to happen and to stand in front of the Son of Man.”

Jesus was about 30 years old when he began ⌞his ministry⌟. Jesus, so people thought, was the son of Joseph, son of Eli,

God can guard you so that you don’t fall and so that you can be full of joy as you stand in his glorious presence without fault.

David came to Saul and served him. Saul loved him very much and made David his armorbearer.
