Potiphar liked Joseph so much that he made him his trusted servant. He put him in charge of his household and everything he owned.

Abram asked, “Almighty Lord, what will you give me? Since I’m going to die without children, Eliezer of Damascus will inherit my household.

But Joseph refused and said to her, “My master doesn’t concern himself with anything in the house. He trusts me with everything he owns.

But Zimri, the general who commanded half of Elah’s chariots, plotted against him. Elah was getting drunk in Tirzah at Arza’s house. (Arza was in charge of the palace in Tirzah.)

The young woman pleased him and won his affection. So he immediately provided her with the beauty treatment, a daily supply of food, and seven suitable female servants from the king’s palace. Then he moved her and her servants to the best place in the women’s quarters.

A king is delighted with a servant who acts wisely, but he is furious with one who acts shamefully.

When a person’s ways are pleasing to the Lord, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.

A wise slave will become master over a son who acts shamefully, and he will share the inheritance with the brothers.

Do you see a person who is efficient in his work? He will serve kings. He will not serve unknown people.

Whoever takes care of a fig tree can eat its fruit, and whoever protects his master is honored.

Then you will find favor and much success in the sight of God and humanity.

Pay attention to yourselves and to the entire flock in which the Holy Spirit has placed you as bishops to be shepherds for God’s church which he acquired with his own blood.
