He lived in the desert of Paran, and his mother got him a wife from Egypt.

They came back to Moses, Aaron, and the whole community of Israel at Kadesh in the Desert of Paran. They gave their report and showed them the fruit from the land.

So at the Lord’s command, Moses sent these men from the Desert of Paran. All of them were leaders of the Israelites.

So it’s fine for a father to give his daughter in marriage, but the father who doesn’t give his daughter in marriage does even better.

He went ⌞home⌟ and told his father and mother, “I’ve seen a Philistine woman at Timnah. Now get her for me so that I can marry her.”

Samuel died, and all Israel gathered to mourn for him. They buried him at his home in Ramah. Then David went to the desert of Paran.
