Then Abimelech called for Abraham and asked him, “What have you done to us? How have I sinned against you that you would bring such a serious sin on me and my kingdom? You shouldn’t have done this to me.”

Then Pharaoh called for Abram. “What have you done to me?” he asked. “Why didn’t you tell me that she’s your wife?

Abimelech also asked Abraham, “What were you thinking when you did this?”

Early in the morning Abimelech called together all his officials. He told them about all of this, and they were terrified.

Then Abimelech said, “What have you done to us! One of the people might have easily gone to bed with your wife, and then you would have made us guilty of sin.”

David burned with anger against the man. “I solemnly swear, as the Lord lives,” he said to Nathan, “the man who did this certainly deserves to die!

“No,” she told him, “don’t rape me! That shouldn’t be done in Israel. Don’t do this godless act!

Moses asked Aaron, “What did these people do to you that you encouraged them to commit such a serious sin?”

So the Lord killed people because they had Aaron make the calf.

Whoever leads decent people into evil will fall into his own pit, but innocent people will inherit good things.

“If a man commits adultery with another man’s wife or with his neighbor’s wife, both he and the woman must be put to death for their adultery.

God does not play favorites.

They must be silenced because they are ruining whole families by teaching what they shouldn’t teach. This is the shameful way they make money.

Marriage is honorable in every way, so husbands and wives should be faithful to each other. God will judge those who commit sexual sins, especially those who commit adultery.

Then Joshua said, “Why did you bring this disaster on us? The Lord will bring disaster on you today!” And all Israel stoned Achan and his family to death. Then they burned the bodies and piled stones over them.
