He shouldn’t trust in worthless things and deceive himself because he will get worthless things in return.

Whenever I saw those who plowed wickedness and planted misery, they gathered its harvest.

You have planted wickedness and harvested evil. You have eaten the fruit that your lies produced. You have trusted your own power and your many warriors.

“The people of Israel plant the wind, but they harvest a storm. A field of grain that doesn’t ripen will never produce any grain. Even if it did produce grain, foreigners would eat it all.

Your arrogance has deceived you. You live on rocky cliffs. You make your home up high. You say to yourself, ‘No one can bring me down to earth.’

“Abraham replied, ‘Remember, my child, that you had a life filled with good times, while Lazarus’ life was filled with misery. Now he has peace here, while you suffer.

Jesus said, “Be careful that you are not deceived. Many will come using my name. They will say, ‘I am he!’ and ‘The time is near.’ Don’t follow them!

Don’t let anyone deceive you. Associating with bad people will ruin decent people.

Don’t deceive yourselves. If any of you think you are wise in the ways of this world, you should give up that wisdom in order to become really wise.

Don’t you know that wicked people won’t inherit God’s kingdom? Stop deceiving yourselves! People who continue to commit sexual sins, who worship false gods, those who commit adultery, homosexuals,

Remember this: The farmer who plants a few seeds will have a very small harvest. But the farmer who plants because he has received God’s blessings will receive a harvest of God’s blessings in return.

So if any one of you thinks you’re important when you’re really not, you’re only fooling yourself.

Don’t let anyone deceive you with meaningless words. It is because of sins like these that God’s anger comes to those who refuse to obey him.

Don’t let anyone deceive you about this in any way. ⌞That day cannot come unless⌟ a revolt takes place first, and the man of sin, the man of destruction, is revealed.

Do what God’s word says. Don’t merely listen to it, or you will fool yourselves.

If a person thinks that he is religious but can’t control his tongue, he is fooling himself. That person’s religion is worthless.

If we say, “We aren’t sinful” we are deceiving ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

Dear children, don’t let anyone deceive you. Whoever does what God approves of has God’s approval as Christ has God’s approval.

“In the last times people who ridicule ⌞God⌟ will appear. They will follow their own ungodly desires.”
