Whenever you see that the donkey of someone who hates you has collapsed under its load, don’t leave it there. Be sure to help him with his animal.

This is the kind of fasting I have chosen: Loosen the chains of wickedness, untie the straps of the yoke, let the oppressed go free, and break every yoke.

So what the prophet Isaiah had said came true: “He took away our weaknesses and removed our diseases.”

Jesus said, “How horrible it will be for you experts in Moses’ Teachings! You burden people with loads that are hard to carry. But you won’t lift a finger to carry any of these loads.

“I’m giving you a new commandment: Love each other in the same way that I have loved you.

Love each other as I have loved you. This is what I’m commanding you to do.

So those of us who have a strong ⌞faith⌟ must be patient with the weaknesses of those whose ⌞faith⌟ is not so strong. We must not think only of ourselves.

The standards of the Spirit, who gives life through Christ Jesus, have set you free from the standards of sin and death.

I became like a person who does not have Moses’ Teachings for those who don’t have those teachings. I did this to win them even though I have God’s teachings. I’m really subject to Christ’s teachings.

Assume your own responsibility.

How can I take care of your problems, your troubles, and your disagreements all by myself?

We encourage you, brothers and sisters, to instruct those who are not living right, cheer up those who are discouraged, help the weak, and be patient with everyone.

However, the person who continues to study God’s perfect laws that make people free and who remains committed to them will be blessed. People like that don’t merely listen and forget; they actually do what God’s laws say.

Talk and act as people who are going to be judged by laws that bring freedom.

You are doing right if you obey this law from the highest authority: “Love your neighbor as you love yourself.”

Christ carried our sins in his body on the cross so that freed from our sins, we could live a life that has God’s approval. His wounds have healed you.

It would have been better for them never to have known the way of life that God approves of than to know it and turn their backs on the holy life God told them to live.

I want you to remember the words spoken in the past by the holy prophets and what the Lord and Savior commanded you through your apostles.

Christ has given us this commandment: The person who loves God must also love other believers.
