dishes, snuffers, bowls, saucers, incense burners of pure gold, the gold sockets for the doors of the inner ⌞room⌟ (the most holy place), and the doors of the temple.

The captain of the guard took all of the incense burners and bowls that were made of gold or silver.

When they finished, they brought the rest of the money to the king and Jehoiada, who used it to make utensils for the Lord’s temple. They made dishes and gold and silver utensils for the service and for the offerings. As long as Jehoiada lived, they sacrificed burnt offerings in the Lord’s temple.

Huram also made the pots, shovels, and bowls. So Huram finished the work for King Solomon in God’s temple:

He made ten tables and put them in the temple, five on the south side and five on the north side. And he made 100 gold bowls.

I weighed ⌞the contributions⌟ for them to guard: about 24 tons of silver, 100 silver utensils weighing 150 pounds apiece, 7,500 pounds of gold,

20 gold bowls weighing 18 pounds apiece, and two utensils of fine polished bronze that were as precious as gold.

So the priests and the Levites took charge of the silver, the gold, and the utensils. They were responsible for bringing these items to the temple of our God in Jerusalem.

He brought a silver plate that weighed 3¼ pounds and a silver bowl that weighed 1¾ pounds, using the standard weight of the holy place. Each dish was filled with flour mixed with olive oil as a grain offering.

Urged by her mother, she said, “Give me the head of John the Baptizer on a platter.”
