He put the altar for burnt offerings at the entrance to the tent (the tent of meeting). He sacrificed burnt offerings and grain offerings on it. Moses followed the Lord’s instructions.

But he moved the bronze altar dedicated to the Lord. It had been in front of the temple between his altar and the Lord’s temple. Ahaz put it on the north side of his altar.

Then he put up the screen at the entrance to the tent.

He put the basin between the tent of meeting and the altar and put water in it for washing.

“Put the altar for burnt offerings in front of the entrance to the tent of meeting.

The man measured the courtyard. It was a perfect square—175 feet long and 175 feet wide. And the altar was in front of the temple.

Then the man said to me, “Son of man, this is what the Almighty Lord says: These are the rules for sacrificing burnt offerings and for sprinkling blood on the altar after the altar is built.

The Lord called Moses and spoke to him from the tent of meeting. He said,

You blind men! What is more important, the gift or the altar that makes the gift holy?

Those who serve at the tent have no right to eat what is sacrificed at our altar.

He used his own blood, not the blood of goats and bulls, for the sacrifice. He went into the most holy place and offered this sacrifice once and for all to free us forever.
