Meanwhile, the Lord had told Aaron to meet Moses in the desert. When Aaron met Moses at the mountain of God, he kissed him.

Then Jacob kissed Rachel and sobbed loudly.

He got up, ate, and drank. Strengthened by that food, he traveled for 40 days and nights until he came to Horeb, the mountain of God.

He sent his servant Moses, and he sent Aaron, whom he had chosen.

Moses’ father-in-law Jethro brought Moses’ sons and wife to Moses in the desert where he was camped near the mountain of God.

So Moses went out to meet his father-in-law. Moses bowed with his face touching the ground and kissed Jethro. After they asked each other how they were, they went into the tent.

All the people heard the thunder and saw the lightning. They heard the blast of the ram’s horn and saw the mountain covered with smoke. So they shook with fear and stood at a distance.

Moses set out with his assistant Joshua, and Moses went up on the mountain of God.

Moses was taking care of the sheep of his father-in-law Jethro, the priest of Midian. As he led the sheep to the far side of the desert, he came to Horeb, the mountain of God.

So the Lord let him alone. It was because of the circumcision that she said at that time, “You are a bridegroom of blood!”

Two people are better than one because ⌞together⌟ they have a good reward for their hard work.

Get up, and go downstairs. Don’t hesitate to go with these men. I have sent them.”
