When Aaron and all the Israelites looked at Moses and saw his face shining, they were afraid to come near him.
Moses called to them, so Aaron and all the leaders of the community came back to him. Then Moses spoke to them.
Who is really wise? Who knows how to explain things? Wisdom makes one’s face shine, and it changes one’s grim look.
I speak with him face to face, plainly and not in riddles. He even sees the form of the Lord. Why weren’t you afraid to criticize my servant Moses?”
All the people were very surprised to see Jesus and ran to welcome him.
His clothes became dazzling white, whiter than anyone on earth could bleach them.
When Simon Peter saw this, he knelt in front of Jesus and said, “Leave me, Lord! I’m a sinful person!”
The ministry that brought death was inscribed on stone. Yet, it came with such glory that the people of Israel couldn’t look at Moses’ face. His face was shining with glory, even though that glory was fading.
