I will make the Egyptians kind to the people of Israel so that, when you leave, you will not leave empty-handed.

The Lord made the Egyptians kind to the people. And Moses was highly respected by Pharaoh’s officials and all the Egyptians.

The Israelites did what Moses had told them and asked the Egyptians for gold and silver jewelry and for clothes.

The Lord made the Egyptians generous to the people, and they gave them what they asked for. So the Israelites stripped Egypt of its wealth.

When a person’s ways are pleasing to the Lord, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.

and rescued him from all his suffering. When Joseph stood in the presence of Pharaoh (the king of Egypt), God gave Joseph divine favor  and wisdom so that he became ruler of Egypt and of Pharaoh’s whole palace.

But when you let them go, don’t send them away empty-handed.
