“I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of slavery in Egypt.

All the people saw it and immediately bowed down to the ground. “The Lord is God!” they said. “The Lord is God!”

They served idols, although the Lord had said, “Never do this.”

The Israelites sinned against the Lord their God, who brought them out of Egypt ⌞and rescued them⌟ from the power of Pharaoh (the king of Egypt). They worshiped other gods

So the Lord his God handed him over to the king of Aram, who defeated him, captured many prisoners, and brought them to Damascus. He also handed him over to the king of Israel, who decisively defeated him.

“Listen, my people, and I will speak. Listen, Israel, and I will testify against you: I am God, your God!

I am the Lord your God, the one who brought you out of Egypt. Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.

“But my people did not listen to me. Israel wanted nothing to do with me.

When you were in trouble, you called out ⌞to me⌟, and I rescued you. I was hidden in thunder, but I answered you. I tested your ⌞loyalty⌟ at the oasis of Meribah. Selah

“In the future when your children ask you what this means, tell them, ‘The Lord used his mighty hand to bring us out of slavery in Egypt.

Then Moses said to the people, “Remember this day—the day when you left Egypt, the land of slavery. The Lord used his mighty hand to bring you out of there. Don’t eat anything made with yeast.

“Lovingly, you will lead the people you have saved. Powerfully, you will guide them to your holy dwelling.

Terror and dread will fall on them. Because of the power of your arm, they will be petrified until your people pass by, O Lord, until the people you purchased pass by.

He said, “If you will listen carefully to the Lord your God and do what he considers right, if you pay attention to his commands and obey all his laws, I will never make you suffer any of the diseases I made the Egyptians suffer, because I am the Lord, who heals you.”

Then God spoke all these words:

They will know that I am the Lord their God. I brought them out of Egypt so that I might live among them. I am the Lord their God.”

“Tell the Israelites, ‘I am the Lord. I will bring you out from under the oppression of the Egyptians, and I will free you from slavery. I will rescue you with my powerful arm and with mighty acts of judgment.

I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. Egypt is the ransom I exchanged for you. Sudan and Seba are the price I paid for you.

“That is why the days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when people will no longer begin an oath with, ‘The Lord brought the people of Israel out of Egypt. As the Lord lives….’

They didn’t ask, “Where is the Lord, who brought us from Egypt? He led us through the desert, through a wasteland and its pits, a land of drought and the shadow of death. No one lives there or travels there.”

“At that time,” declares the Lord, “I will be the God of all the families of Israel, and they will be my people.”

“But this is the promise that I will make to Israel after those days,” declares the Lord: “I will put my teachings inside them, and I will write those teachings on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.

“This is what the Lord God of Israel says: I put a condition on the promise  I made to your ancestors when I brought them from Egypt, where they were slaves. I said,

I am the Lord your God. Live by my laws. Obey my rules and follow them.

Tell them, ‘This is what the Almighty Lord says: When I chose Israel, I raised my hand and swore an oath to the descendants of Jacob’s family. I made myself known to them in Egypt. I made a promise to them and said, “I am the Lord your God.”

I said to them, “Get rid of the detestable idols that you look to for help. Don’t dishonor yourselves with the disgusting idols of Egypt. I am the Lord your God.”

I spoke to the prophets and gave them many visions. I taught lessons through the prophets.”

“I am the Lord your God. I brought you out of Egypt. You have known no god besides me. There is no savior except me.

Here is the reason ⌞again⌟: I am the Lord. I brought you out of Egypt to be your God. Be holy because I am holy.

Use honest scales, honest weights, and honest measures. I am the Lord your God who brought you out of Egypt.

so that generations to come may learn how I made the people of Israel live in booths when I brought them out of Egypt. I am the Lord your God.”

I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt to give you Canaan and to be your God.

They are my servants. I brought them out of Egypt. They must never be sold as slaves.

“The Israelites belong to me as servants. They are my servants. I brought them out of Egypt. I am the Lord your God.”

⌞The Lord continued,⌟ “Never make worthless idols or set up a carved statue or a sacred stone for yourselves. Never cut figures in stone to worship them in your country, because I am the Lord your God.

I am the Lord your God. I brought you out of Egypt so that you are no longer slaves of the Egyptians. I have broken their power over you and made you live as a free people.

I brought you out of Egypt. I led you through the desert for 40 years so that you could take possession of the land of the Amorites.

There is no difference between Jews and Greeks. They all have the same Lord, who gives his riches to everyone who calls on him.

Is God only the God of the Jews? Isn’t he also the God of people who are not Jewish? Certainly, he is,

Stone them to death because they were trying to lead you away from the Lord your God, who brought you out of slavery in Egypt.

Remember that you were slaves in Egypt and the Lord your God freed you. That’s why I’m giving you this command today.

When you go to war against your enemies, you may see horses, chariots, and armies larger than yours. Don’t be afraid of them, because the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, will be with you.

Remember that you were slaves in Egypt and that the Lord your God used his mighty hand and powerful arm to bring you out of there. This is why the Lord your God has commanded you to observe the day of rest as a holy day.

“I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of slavery in Egypt.

You were chosen because the Lord loved you and kept the oath he swore to your ancestors. So he used his mighty hand to bring you out. He freed you from slavery under Pharaoh (the king of Egypt).

The Messenger of the Lord went from Gilgal to Bochim. He said, “I brought you out of Egypt into the land that I swore to give to your ancestors. I said, ‘I will never break my promise  to you.

I said to you, ‘I am the Lord your God. You must never fear the gods of the Amorites in whose land you will live.’ But you have not obeyed me.”
