The one who does not slander with his tongue, do evil to a friend, or bring disgrace on his neighbor.

⌞The Lord continued,⌟ “Never spread false rumors. Don’t join forces with wicked people by giving false testimony.

Whoever conceals hatred has lying lips. Whoever spreads slander is a fool.

Whoever gossips gives away secrets, but whoever is trustworthy in spirit can keep a secret.

A lying witness will not go unpunished. One who tells lies will not escape.

⌞Like⌟ a club and a sword and a sharp arrow, ⌞so⌟ is a person who gives false testimony against his neighbor.

“Never steal, lie, or deceive your neighbor.

Never gossip. Never endanger your neighbor’s life. I am the Lord.

Never get revenge. Never hold a grudge against any of your people. Instead, love your neighbor as you love yourself. I am the Lord.

“Which commandments?” the man asked. Jesus said, “Never murder. Never commit adultery. Never steal. Never give false testimony.

Some soldiers asked him, “And what should we do?” He told them, “Be satisfied with your pay, and never use threats or blackmail to get money from anyone.”

Some witnesses stood up and lied about Stephen. They said, “This man never stops saying bad things about the holy place and Moses’ Teachings.

Get rid of your bitterness, hot tempers, anger, loud quarreling, cursing, and hatred.

“Never avoid the truth when you testify about your neighbor.

Laws are intended for people involved in sexual sins, for homosexuals, for kidnappers, for liars, for those who lie when they take an oath, and for whatever else is against accurate teachings.

and lack normal affection for their families. They will refuse to make peace with anyone. They will be slanderous, lack self-control, be brutal, and have no love for what is good.

Brothers and sisters, stop slandering each other. Those who slander and judge other believers slander and judge God’s laws. If you judge God’s teachings, you are no longer following them. Instead, you are judging them.
