No one should touch them. They must be stoned or shot with arrows. No matter whether it’s an animal or a person, it must not live. The people may go up the mountain ⌞only⌟ when the ram’s horn sounds a long blast.”

After Moses went down the mountain to the people, he had them get ready, and they washed their clothes.

On the morning of the second day, there was thunder and lightning with a heavy cloud over the mountain, and a very loud blast from a ram’s horn ⌞was heard⌟. All the people in the camp shook with fear.

Then Moses led the people out of the camp to meet with God, and they stood at the foot of the mountain.

As the sound of the horn grew louder and louder, Moses was speaking, and the voice of God answered him.

No one may come with you or even be seen anywhere on the mountain. Even the flocks and herds may not graze in front of this mountain.”

It will happen in an instant, in a split second at the sound of the last trumpet. Indeed, that trumpet will sound, and then the dead will come back to life. They will be changed so that they can live forever.

The Lord will come from heaven with a command, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet ⌞call⌟ of God. First, the dead who believed in Christ will come back to life.

They couldn’t obey the command that was given, “If even an animal touches the mountain, it must be stoned to death.”

The men in ambush quickly charged toward Gibeah. They spread out in the city and killed everyone.
