God's Word

The Lord is my strength and my song. He is my Savior. This is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will honor him.

I will make my promise to you and your descendants for generations to come as an everlasting promise. I will be your God and the God of your descendants.

O Lord Almighty, the strong one who saves me, you have covered my head in the day of battle.

I will highly praise you, my God, the king. I will bless your name forever and ever.

The Lord lives! Thanks be to my rock! May God my Savior be honored.

I was placed in your care from birth. From my mother’s womb you have been my God.

Yet, you are holy, enthroned on the praises of Israel.

The Lord is my light and my salvation. Who is there to fear? The Lord is my life’s fortress. Who is there to be afraid of?

The Lord is the strength of his people and a fortress for the victory of his Messiah.

I will honor you highly, O Lord, because you have pulled me out ⌞of the pit⌟ and have not let my enemies rejoice over me.

Praise the Lord’s greatness with me. Let us highly honor his name together.

“This God is our God forever and ever. He will lead us beyond death.”

O my strength, I will make music to praise you! God is my stronghold, my merciful God!

Our God is the God of victories. The Almighty Lord is our escape from death.

Highly honor the Lord our God. Bow down at his footstool. He is holy!

Highly honor the Lord our God. Bow at his holy mountain. The Lord our God is holy!

Moses answered the people, “Don’t be afraid! Stand still, and see what the Lord will do to save you today. You will never see these Egyptians again.

I am the God of your ancestors, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.” Moses hid his face because he was afraid to look at God.

Then tell Pharaoh, ‘This is what the Lord says: Israel is my firstborn son.

Then the ⌞column of⌟ smoke covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the tent.

Then I will make you my people, and I will be your God. You will know that I am the Lord your God, who brought you out from under the forced labor of the Egyptians.

Look! God is my Savior. I am confident and unafraid, because the Lord is my strength and my song. He is my Savior.”

O Lord, you are my God. I will highly honor you; I will praise your name. You have done miraculous things. You have been completely reliable in carrying out your plans from long ago.

Israel has been saved by the Lord forever. You will never again be ashamed or disgraced.

Now, the Lord says, “You are not just my servant who restores the tribes of Jacob and brings back those in Israel whom I have preserved. I have also made you a light for the nations so that you would save people all over the world.”

This is what the Lord says: Heaven is my throne. The earth is my footstool. Where can you build a house or resting place for me?

Truly, the noise from the hills, from the mountains, is the noise of false worship. Truly, the Lord our God will rescue us.

“But this is the promise that I will make to Israel after those days,” declares the Lord: “I will put my teachings inside them, and I will write those teachings on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.

They will be my people, and I will be their God.

You go out to save your people, to save your anointed. You crush the leader of the wicked household, stripping him bare from head to toe. Selah

I will bring this third ⌞of the people⌟ through the fire. I will refine them as silver is refined. I will test them as gold is tested. They will call on me, and I will answer them. I will say, ‘They are my people.’ They will reply, ‘The Lord is our God.’ ”

You will make his people know that they can be saved through the forgiveness of their sins.

My eyes have seen your salvation,

You don’t know what you’re worshiping. We ⌞Jews⌟ know what we’re worshiping, because salvation comes from the Jews.

so that everyone will honor the Son as they honor the Father. Whoever doesn’t honor the Son doesn’t honor the Father who sent him.

No one else can save us. Indeed, we can be saved only by the power of the one named Jesus and not by any other person.”

In other words, God was using Christ to restore his relationship with humanity. He didn’t hold people’s faults against them, and he has given us this message of restored relationships to tell others.

Through him you, also, are being built in the Spirit together with others into a place where God lives.

He is your glory. He is your God, who did for you these spectacular and awe-inspiring deeds you saw with your own eyes.

and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.

I can do everything through Christ who strengthens me.

All of God lives in Christ’s body,

and singing the song of God’s servant Moses and the song of the lamb. They sang, “The things you do are spectacular and amazing, Lord God Almighty. The way you do them is fair and true, King of the Nations.

After these things I heard what sounded like the loud noise from a large crowd in heaven, saying, “Hallelujah! Salvation, glory, and power belong to our God.

The Kishon River swept them away— that old river, the Kishon. I must march on with strength!
