Exodus 10:13

God's Word

Moses held his staff over the land of Egypt, and the Lord made a wind from the east blow over the land all that day and all that night. By morning the east wind had brought the locusts.

The Lord sent a violent wind over the sea. The storm was so powerful that the ship was in danger of breaking up.

When the sun rose, God made a hot east wind blow. The sun beat down on Jonah’s head so that he was about to faint. He wanted to die. So he said, “I’d rather be dead than alive.”

The men were amazed and asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the wind and the sea obey him!”
