Just as Jonah was in the belly of a huge fish for three days and three nights, so the Son of Man will be in the heart of the earth for three days and three nights.

Jesus told her, “Don’t hold on to me. I have not yet gone to the Father. But go to my brothers and sisters and tell them, ‘I am going to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’ ”

No one has gone to heaven except the Son of Man, who came from heaven.

God’s bread is the man who comes from heaven and gives life to the world.”

I haven’t come from heaven to do what I want to do. I’ve come to do what the one who sent me wants me to do.

The Jews began to criticize Jesus for saying, “I am the bread that came from heaven.”

I am the living bread that came from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. The bread I will give to bring life to the world is my flesh.”

This is the bread that came from heaven. It is not like the bread your ancestors ate. They eventually died. Those who eat this bread will live forever.”

What if you see the Son of Man go where he was before?

Jesus replied to them, “Even if I testify on my own behalf, my testimony is true because I know where I came from and where I’m going. However, you don’t know where I came from or where I’m going.

You made him a little lower than the angels. You crowned him with glory and honor.

Jesus was made a little lower than the angels, but we see him crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death. Through God’s kindness  he died on behalf of everyone.
