Wisdom is as good as an inheritance. It is an advantage to everyone who sees the sun.

“Where can wisdom be found? Where does understanding live?

The teachings ⌞that come⌟ from your mouth are worth more to me than thousands in gold or silver.

The crown of wise people is their wealth. The stupidity of fools is just that—stupidity!

The profit ⌞gained⌟ from ⌞wisdom⌟ is greater than the profit ⌞gained⌟ from silver. Its yield is better than fine gold.

⌞Wisdom⌟ is more precious than jewels, and all your desires cannot equal it.

Light is sweet, and it is good for one’s eyes to see the sun.

But I saw that wisdom has an advantage over foolishness as light has an advantage over darkness.

Don’t ask, “Why were things better in the old days than they are now?” It isn’t wisdom that leads you to ask this!
