Next we turned and followed the road that goes to Bashan. King Og of Bashan and all his troops came to fight us at Edrei.

Geber, son of Uri, was in charge of Gilead, the territory of King Sihon the Amorite and King Og of Bashan. (There was only one governor in that territory.)

You gave kingdoms and nations to the Israelites and assigned them their boundaries. So they took possession of the land of Sihon, the land of the king of Heshbon, and the land of King Og of Bashan.

This was after he had defeated King Sihon of the Amorites, who ruled in Heshbon, and King Og of Bashan, who ruled in Ashtaroth and  in Edrei.

Sihon and all his troops came out to meet us in battle at Jahaz.

When you came to this place, King Sihon of Heshbon and King Og of Bashan came out to fight us, but we defeated them.

The Lord will do to those nations what he did to King Sihon and King Og of the Amorites and to their lands when he destroyed them.

They took possession of his land and the land of King Og of Bashan, the two kings of the Amorites who were east of the Jordan River.

These are the kings of the land east of the Jordan River that the people of Israel defeated. Israel also took possession of their lands from the Arnon Valley to Mount Hermon, and all the eastern plains.

The territory of King Og of Bashan who lived in Ashtaroth and Edrei was captured. He was the last of the Rephaim.

Their territory extended from Mahanaim and included all of Bashan (the whole kingdom of King Og of Bashan) and all 60 settlements of Jair that were in Bashan.

We also heard everything he did to the two kings of the Amorites east of the Jordan, King Sihon of Heshbon and King Og of Bashan in Ashtaroth.
