“If you lend money to my people—to any poor person among you—never act like a moneylender. Charge no interest.

A slave doesn’t live in the home forever, but a son does.

Whenever we have the opportunity, we have to do what is good for everyone, especially for the family of believers.

This is what you will do: If you’ve made a loan, don’t collect payment on the debt your neighbor still owes you. Don’t demand that your neighbor or relative pay you, because the ⌞time⌟ for suspending payments on debts has been proclaimed in the Lord’s honor.

You may charge a foreigner interest, but not an Israelite. Then the Lord your God will bless you in everything you do once you’ve entered the land and taken possession of it.

If you make a vow to the Lord your God, don’t avoid keeping it. The Lord your God expects you to keep it. You would be guilty of a sin if you didn’t.
