He shot his arrows and scattered them. He flashed streaks of lightning and threw them into confusion.

Trembling seized them like the trembling that a woman experiences during labor.

Ask now, and see: Can a man give birth to a child? Why, then, do I see every strong man holding his stomach in pain like a woman giving birth to a child? Why has every face turned pale?

We have heard the news about them. Our hands hang limp. We are gripped by anguish and pain like a woman giving birth to a child.

So I was left alone to see this grand vision. I had no strength left in me. My face turned deathly pale, and I was helpless.

During the second year of Nebuchadnezzar’s reign, he had some dreams. He was troubled, but he stayed asleep.

Then the king turned pale, and his thoughts frightened him. His hip joints became loose, and his knees knocked against each other.

When King Herod and all Jerusalem heard about this, they became disturbed.

Then the kings of the earth, the important people, the generals, the rich, the powerful, and all the slaves and free people hid themselves in caves and among the rocks in the mountains.
