Acts 8:25

God's Word

After they had boldly spoken about the message of the Lord, they spread the Good News in many Samaritan villages on their way back to Jerusalem.

Jesus sent these twelve out with the following instructions: “Don’t go among people who are not Jewish or into any Samaritan city.

I have five brothers. He can warn them so that they won’t end up in this place of torture.’

You will declare the truth, too, because you have been with me from the beginning.”

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes to you. Then you will be my witnesses to testify about me in Jerusalem, throughout Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

When the governor saw what had happened, he believed. The Lord’s teachings amazed him.

But when Silas and Timothy arrived from Macedonia, Paul devoted all his time to teaching God’s word. He assured the Jews that Jesus is the Messiah.

I warned Jews and Greeks to change the way they think and act and to believe in our Lord Jesus.

On a designated day a larger number of influential Jews ⌞than expected⌟ went to the place where Paul was staying. From morning until evening, Paul was explaining God’s kingdom to them. He was trying to convince them about Jesus from Moses’ Teachings and the Prophets.

“You need to know that God has sent his salvation to people who are not Jews. They will listen.”

He spread the message about God’s kingdom and taught very boldly about the Lord Jesus Christ. No one stopped him.

Philip found himself in the city of Azotus. He traveled through all the cities and spread the Good News until he came to the city of Caesarea.

I’ve written this short letter to you and I’m sending it by Silvanus, whom I regard as a faithful brother. I’ve written to encourage you and to testify that this is God’s genuine good will. Remain firmly established in it!
