God's Word

I humbly served the Lord, often with tears in my eyes. I served the Lord during the difficult times I went through when the Jews plotted against me.

Streams of tears flow from my eyes because others do not follow your teachings.

So be alert! Remember that I instructed each of you for three years, day and night, at times with tears in my eyes.

When the seven days were almost over, the Jews from the province of Asia saw Paul in the temple courtyard. They stirred up the whole crowd and grabbed Paul.

I know this because an angel from the God to whom I belong and whom I serve stood by me last night.

From Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle and appointed to spread the Good News of God.

I serve God by spreading the Good News about his Son. God is my witness that I always mention you

Don’t be lazy in showing your devotion. Use your energy to serve the Lord.

I was deeply troubled and anguished. In fact, I had tears in my eyes when I wrote to you. I didn’t write to make you uncomfortable but to let you know how much I love you.

By ourselves we are not qualified in any way to claim that we can do anything. Rather, God makes us qualified.

Serve eagerly as if you were serving your heavenly master and not merely serving human masters.

I have often told you, and now tell you with tears in my eyes, that many live as the enemies of the cross of Christ.

You know that your real master will give you an inheritance as your reward. It is Christ, your real master, whom you are serving.

They talk about how you welcomed us when we arrived. They even report how you turned away from false gods to serve the real, living God

I remember your tears and want to see you so that I can be filled with happiness.

My brothers and sisters, be very happy when you are tested in different ways.

You are extremely happy about these things, even though you have to suffer different kinds of trouble for a little while now.
