While Paul was waiting for Silas and Timothy in Athens, he saw that the city had statues of false gods everywhere. This upset him.

Jesus was angry as he looked around at them. He was deeply hurt because their minds were closed. Then he told the man, “Hold out your hand.” The man held it out, and his hand became normal again.

The Jewish Passover was near, so Jesus went to Jerusalem.

The men who escorted Paul took him all the way to the city of Athens. When the men left Athens, they took instructions back to Silas and Timothy to join Paul as soon as possible.

Everyone who lived in Athens looked for opportunities to tell or hear something new and unusual.

As I was going through your city and looking closely at the objects you worship, I noticed an altar with this written on it: ‘To an unknown god.’ I’m telling you about the unknown god you worship.

After this, Paul left Athens and went to the city of Corinth.

“I am determined to go to Jerusalem now. I don’t know what will happen to me there.

We thought it best to remain in Athens by ourselves. But, because we couldn’t wait any longer ⌞for news about you⌟,

Yet, God rescued Lot, a man who had his approval. Lot was distressed by the lifestyle of people who had no principles and lived in sexual freedom.
