How can a person be righteous to God? How can anyone born of a woman be pure?

Teach me what I cannot see. If I’ve done wrong, I won’t do it again.’

This is the kind of fasting I have chosen: Loosen the chains of wickedness, untie the straps of the yoke, let the oppressed go free, and break every yoke.

Then you will call, and the Lord will answer. You will cry for help, and he will say, “Here I am!” Get rid of that yoke. Don’t point your finger and say wicked things.

Do those things that prove you have turned to God and have changed the way you think and act.

Blessed are those who show mercy. They will be treated mercifully.

The crowds asked him, “What should we do?”

and said, “Men, what are you doing? We’re human beings like you. We’re spreading the Good News to you to turn you away from these worthless gods to the living God. The living God made the sky, the land, the sea, and everything in them.

She used to follow Paul and shout, “These men are servants of the Most High God. They’re telling you how you can be saved.”

So the jailer followed these orders and put Paul and Silas into solitary confinement with their feet in leg irons.

When the people heard this, they were deeply upset. They asked Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what should we do?”

“Then I asked, ‘What do you want me to do, Lord?’ “The Lord told me, ‘Get up! Go into the city of Damascus, and you’ll be told everything I’ve arranged for you to do.’

Get up! Go into the city, and you’ll be told what you should do.”

No mercy will be shown to those who show no mercy to others. Mercy triumphs over judgment.
