God's Word

Be ready to spread the word whether or not the time is right. Point out errors, warn people, and encourage them. Be very patient when you teach.

We encourage you, brothers and sisters, to instruct those who are not living right, cheer up those who are discouraged, help the weak, and be patient with everyone.

Tell these things to the believers. Encourage and correct them, using your full authority. Don’t let anyone ignore you.

Until I get there, concentrate on reading ⌞Scripture⌟ in worship, giving encouraging messages, and teaching people.

I correct and discipline everyone I love. Take this seriously, and change the way you think and act.

That statement is true. For this reason, sharply correct believers so that they continue to have faith that is alive and well.

Those who stop associating with dishonorable people will be honored. They will be set apart for the master’s use, prepared to do good things.

The person who is taught God’s word should share all good things with his teacher.

Be happy in your confidence, be patient in trouble, and pray continually.

But you know all about my teachings, my way of life, my purpose, my faith, my patience, my love, and my endurance.

Reprimand those leaders who sin. Do it in front of everyone so that the other leaders will also be afraid.

I became a servant of the church when God gave me the work of telling you his entire message.

How can people tell the Good News if no one sends them? As Scripture says, “How beautiful are the feet of the messengers who announce the Good News.”

“Leave at once for the important city, Nineveh. Announce to the people the message I have given you.”

On Sunday we met to break bread. Paul was discussing ⌞Scripture⌟ with the people. Since he intended to leave the next day, he kept talking until midnight.

On the day of rest—a holy day, we went out of the city to a place along the river where we thought Jewish people gathered for prayer. We sat down and began talking to the women who had gathered there.

But Jesus told him, “Let the dead bury their own dead. You must go everywhere and tell about God’s kingdom.”

They came to Jesus and begged, “He deserves your help.

Don’t despise what God has revealed.

Whoever doesn’t lose his faith in me is indeed blessed.”

I will announce the good news of righteousness among those assembled for worship. I will not close my lips. You know that, O Lord.

He must be gentle in correcting those who oppose the Good News. Maybe God will allow them to change the way they think and act and lead them to know the truth.

I urge you, brothers and sisters, to listen patiently to my encouraging words. I have written you a short letter.

After our arrival, Paul was allowed to live by himself, but he had a soldier who guarded him.

Arriving in the city of Salamis, they began to spread God’s word in the synagogues. John Mark had gone along to help them.

At the same time also pray for us. Pray that God will give us an opportunity to speak the word so that we may tell the mystery about Christ. It is because of this mystery that I am a prisoner.

You imitated us and the Lord. In spite of a lot of suffering, you welcomed God’s word with the kind of joy that the Holy Spirit gives.
