You received a gift from God when I placed my hands on you ⌞to ordain you⌟. Now I’m reminding you to fan that gift into flames.

Don’t neglect the gift which you received through prophecy when the spiritual leaders  placed their hands on you ⌞to ordain you⌟.

Don’t put out the Spirit’s fire.

Dear friends, this is the second letter I’m writing to you. In both letters I’m trying to refresh your memory.

Be ready to spread the word whether or not the time is right. Point out errors, warn people, and encourage them. Be very patient when you teach.

Therefore, I will always remind you about these qualities, although you already know about them and are well-grounded in the truth that you now have.

When Paul placed his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came to them, and they began to talk in other languages and to speak what God had revealed.

Moses called Bezalel and Oholiab and every other craftsman to whom the Lord had given these skills and who was willing to come and do the work.

All the women who were willing and had the skill spun the goats’ hair.

Remind believers about these things, and warn them in the sight of God not to quarrel over words. Quarreling doesn’t do any good but only destroys those who are listening.

You are a good servant of Christ Jesus when you point these things out to our brothers and sisters. Then you will be nourished by the words of the Christian faith and the excellent teachings which you have followed closely.

⌞Before he left,⌟ he called ten of his servants and gave them ten coins. He said to his servants, ‘Invest this money until I come back.’

Remind me ⌞of what happened⌟. Let us argue our case together. State your case so that you can prove you are right.

I want to remind you about what you already know: The Lord once saved his people from Egypt. But on another occasion he destroyed those who didn’t believe.

We shouldn’t repeat the basic teachings about such things as baptisms, setting people apart for holy tasks, dead people coming back to life, and eternal judgment.

The disciples had these men stand in front of the apostles, who prayed and placed their hands on these seven men.
