Who is our hope, joy, or prize that we can brag about in the presence of our Lord Jesus when he comes? Isn’t it you?

May the Lord direct your lives as you show God’s love and Christ’s endurance.

You need endurance so that after you have done what God wants you to do, you can receive what he has promised.

Then, instead of being lazy, you will imitate those who are receiving the promises through faith and patience.

So Abraham received what God promised because he waited patiently for it.

We consider those who endure to be blessed. You have heard about Job’s endurance. You saw that the Lord ended Job’s suffering because the Lord is compassionate and merciful.

In this situation God’s holy people, who obey his commands and keep their faith in Jesus, need endurance.
