Jehu came out to his master’s officials. One of them asked him, “Is everything alright? Why did this lunatic come to you?” He answered, “You know the man and the kind of things he says.”

So Gehazi went after Naaman. When Naaman saw Gehazi running after him, he got down from his chariot to speak to him. “Is something wrong?” he asked.

They said, “That’s not an answer. Please tell us.” Jehu replied, “We talked for a while, and he said to me, ‘This is what the Lord says: I have anointed you king of Israel.’ ”

The watchman standing on the tower in Jezreel saw Jehu’s troops coming. He said, “I see some troops.” So Joram said, “Take a chariot driver, send him to meet them, and ask, ‘Is everything alright?’ ”

Then Joram sent out a second driver. When he came to them, he said, “The king asks, ‘Is everything alright?’ ” Jehu replied, “Why should that matter to you? Follow me.”

When you arrive there, look for Jehu, son of Jehoshaphat and grandson of Nimshi. Go inside, and have him get up and leave his companions. Take him into an inner room.

When Joram saw Jehu, he asked, “Is everything alright, Jehu?” Jehu answered, “How can everything be alright as long as your mother continues her idolatry and witchcraft?”

Truth is missing. Those who turn away from evil make themselves victims. The Lord sees it, and he’s angry because there’s no justice.

The Lord made you priest instead of Jehoiada so that there would be officials for the Lord’s temple. You should put any lunatic who acts like a prophet in prison and in shackles.

The time for them to be punished will come. The time for them to pay for their sins will come. ⌞When this happens,⌟ Israel will know it. ⌞They think that⌟ prophets are fools and that spiritual people are crazy. They have sinned a lot, and they are very hostile.

When his family heard about it, they went to get him. They said, “He’s out of his mind!”

Many of them said, “He’s possessed by a demon! He’s crazy! Why do you listen to him?”

Some Epicurean and Stoic philosophers had discussions with him. Some asked, “What is this babbling fool trying to say?” Others said, “He seems to be speaking about foreign gods.” The philosophers said these things because Paul was telling the Good News about Jesus and saying that people would come back to life.

As Paul was defending himself in this way, Festus shouted, “Paul, you’re crazy! Too much education is driving you crazy!”

We have given up our wisdom for Christ, but you have insight because of Christ. We are weak, but you are strong. You are honored, but we are dishonored.

So if we were crazy, it was for God. If we are sane, it is for you.
