Josiah was 8 years old when he began to rule, and he was king for 31 years in Jerusalem. His mother was Jedidah, daughter of Adaiah from Bozkath.

This is the word that the Lord spoke to Zephaniah, who was the son of Cushi, the grandson of Gedaliah, and the great-grandson of Amariah, son of Hezekiah. The Lord spoke his word in the days of Judah’s King Josiah, son of Amon.

The Lord spoke his word to Jeremiah when King Josiah, son of Amon, was in his thirteenth year as king of Judah.

“I will make boys their leaders. Children will govern them.”

How horrible it will be for any country where the king used to be a servant and where the high officials throw parties in the morning.

From the mouths of little children and infants, you have built a fortress against your opponents to silence the enemy and the avenger.

Manasseh was 12 years old when he began to rule, and he ruled for 55 years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Hephzibah.

Joash  was seven years old when he began to rule.

By a command of the Lord, this man condemned the altar. “Altar, altar! This is what the Lord says: There will be a son born in David’s family line. His name will be Josiah. Then the people of the land killed everyone who had plotted against King Amon. They made his son Josiah king in his place.

He was buried in his tomb in the garden of Uzza. His son Josiah succeeded him as king.

“But suppose this person has a son. The son sees all the sins that his father does. He is afraid, so he doesn’t do such things.
