“Please, Lord, remember how I’ve lived faithfully and sincerely in your presence. I’ve done what you consider right.” And he cried bitterly.

Each one sings in front of other people and says, ‘I sinned and did wrong instead of what was right, and it did me no good.

If you will do all I command you, follow my ways, and do what I consider right by obeying my laws and commands as my servant David did, then I will be with you. I will build a permanent dynasty for you as I did for David. And I will give you Israel.

In his old age, his wives tempted him to follow other gods. He was no longer committed to the Lord his God as his father David had been.

And if you follow me and obey my laws and commands as your father David did, then I will also give you a long life.”

Do what the Lord considers right and good. Then things will go well for you, and you will enter and take possession of that good land which the Lord promised to your ancestors with an oath.

He said, “If you will listen carefully to the Lord your God and do what he considers right, if you pay attention to his commands and obey all his laws, I will never make you suffer any of the diseases I made the Egyptians suffer, because I am the Lord, who heals you.”

Children, obey your parents because you are Christians. This is the right thing to do.

So the laws in Moses’ Teachings are holy, and the commandment is holy, right, and good.

I follow the straight paths of your guiding principles. I hate every pathway that leads to lying.

Israel, what does the Lord your God want you to do? He wants you to fear him, follow all his directions, love him, and worship him with all your heart and with all your soul.

But the illegal places of worship weren’t torn down. The people continued to offer sacrifices and burn incense at these worship sites.

He did what the Lord considered right, but not exactly what his ancestor David had done. He did everything his father Joash had done.

“Please, Lord, remember how I’ve lived faithfully and sincerely in your presence. I’ve done what you consider right.” And he cried bitterly.
