He restored Israel’s boundaries from the border of Hamath to the Dead Sea as the Lord God of Israel predicted through his servant Jonah, the prophet from Gath Hepher and the son of Amittai.

The five kings joined forces and met in the valley of Siddim (that is, the Dead Sea).

At that time Solomon and all Israel celebrated the Festival ⌞of Booths⌟. A large crowd had come from ⌞the territory between⌟ the border of Hamath and the River of Egypt to be near the Lord our God for seven days.

He did what the Lord considered evil. He didn’t turn away from any of the sins that Jeroboam (Nebat’s son) led Israel to commit.

You will die in battle. I will judge you at Israel’s borders. Then you will know that I am the Lord.

I am going to lead a nation to attack you, nation of Israel, declares the Lord God of the Armies of the Nations. They will oppress you from the border of Hamath to the valley of Arabah.

The Lord spoke his word to Jonah, son of Amittai. He said,

So the men explored the land from the Desert of Zin to the border of Hamath.

“Evil and unfaithful people look for a miraculous sign. But the only sign they will be given is that of Jonah.” Then he left them standing there and went away.

Their land included the plains around the Jordan River. The western border was the river, from the Sea of Galilee to the Sea of the Plains (the Dead Sea), which is near Mount Pisgah on the east.

From there it goes directly east to Gath Hepher, Eth Kazin, and Rimmon, where it turns to Neah.
