The Levites, descendants of Kohath and Korah, stood up to praise the Lord God of Israel with very loud songs.

O God, we have heard it with our own ears. Our ancestors have told us about the miracle you performed in their day, in days long ago.

Listen to this, all you people. Open your ears, all who live in the world—

Sing joyfully to God, our strength. Shout happily to the God of Jacob.

The sons of Korah were Assir, Elkanah, and Abiasaph. These were the families descended from Korah.
