He made the wheels of their chariots come off so that they could hardly move. Then the Egyptians shouted, “Let’s get out of here! The Lord is fighting for Israel! He’s against us!”

You people of Israel are like the people from Sudan, says the Lord. Didn’t I bring Israel from Egypt? Didn’t I bring the Philistines from Crete and the Arameans from Kir?

Thank God that he gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

So I run—but not without a clear goal ahead of me. So I box—but not as if I were just shadow boxing.

The Lord will defeat your enemies when they attack you. They will attack you from one direction but run away from you in seven directions.

See, I am the only God. There are no others. I kill, and I make alive. I wound, and I heal, and no one can rescue you from my power.

The Lord threw the enemy into disorder in front of Israel and defeated them decisively at Gibeon. He chased them along the road that goes to the slope of Beth Horon and continued to defeat them all the way to Azekah and Makkedah.
