“Never oppress or rob your neighbor. Never keep the pay you owe a hired worker overnight.

Don’t take a traveling bag for the trip, a change of clothes, sandals, or a walking stick. After all, the worker deserves to have his needs met.

Stay with the family that accepts you. Eat and drink whatever they offer you. After all, the worker deserves his pay. Do not move around from one house to another.

Scripture says, “Whoever believes in him will not be ashamed.”

God has not rejected his people whom he knew long ago. Don’t you know what Elijah says in the Scripture passage when he complains to God about Israel? He says,

What does Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and that faith was regarded as the basis of Abraham’s approval by God.”

For example, Scripture says to Pharaoh, “I put you here for this reason: to demonstrate my power through you and to spread my name throughout the earth.”

In the same way, the Lord has commanded that those who spread the Good News should earn their living from the Good News.

Scripture saw ahead of time that God would give his approval to non-Jewish people who have faith. So Scripture announced the Good News to Abraham ahead of time when it said, “Through you all the people of the world will be blessed.”

Never muzzle an ox when it’s threshing  grain.
